Who is Embodiment Coaching for?
Embodiment Coaching with me might be a good fit if you are:
*A fat person wanting a safe(r)/brave space to unlearn the effects of diet culture, work on self image; and/or wanting to gain more somatic awareness and comfort/neutrality in your relationship with your body.
*A white person (especially a ‘spiritual white woman’) who wants to expand your capacity to self regulate when challenged on your privilege and role in white supremacy culture.
*Looking to deepen or develop a culturally appropriate spiritual practice, especially if you have been harmed by your spiritual/religious community and are wanting repair.
*Someone who has done deep work in therapy and wants more integration – moving forward with goals
Embodiment Coaching with me is probably not a good fit for you if:
*You are looking for a quick fix
*You are wanting therapy
*Your body goals are focused on a number on the scale or a new way of dieting
*You don’t think there is anything wrong with the status quo
*You are in active crisis/don’t have some support systems in place
Are you a therapist or a coach?
I have formal training and a background as a mental health therapist. I am currently stepping away from offering therapy and focusing on coaching. The work we do together is focused less on your past and more on the present and how you want to move forward. Coaching is a great accompaniment to therapy.
Do you accept insurance? How much is a session? Do you offer a sliding scale?
Coaching is not covered by insurance. An individual session is $125 for 60 minutes.
90 minute sessions are available for $175.
I do offer a sliding scale but please read through the information here to see if you a sliding scale option is appropriate for you.
